Yasuhiro Takashima graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine in 1998. After working as a physician in internal medicine, he began his research journey at Kobe University Graduate School and RIKEN in Kobe. After earning his Ph.D. in 2007, he embarked on an eight-year exploration of scientific discovery under the guidance of Prof. Austin Smith at the University of Cambridge Stem Cell Institute. Since 2015, he has had the privilege of leading a research laboratory at the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, Kyoto University.
Dr. Takashima expresses deep gratitude for chance encounters with all the remarkable individuals who have helped shape his scientific journey thus far and is excited about the prospect of future meetings. Together with the dedicated members of his research team, he diligently engages in pursuits of research that the lab is uniquely positioned to undertake.
